Welcome to the forum towerwatcher!
Personally, I would not bother with what will be seen by non-witnesses a private joke. Witnesses probably won't care as well.
hello fellow apostates!
my first post and a long time lurker here.
i would like to thank all of you for the existence of this board as this has been instrumental for me in leaving the place i once knew as "the truth".

Funchback, They had a similar issue with a whiskey ad in 1982 that was plagiarized.
wolves use their "loyalty" questions to trap others - "do you believe we're living in the last days/this is god's organization/faithful slave?
" - yet resolutely avoid discussing topics which put their org in a bad light, my "loyalty" question to them would be - "do you accept literature truth over bible truth?
" they will either run or be forced to ask for examples of alleged differences.any other suggestions for "loyalty" questions?.
A Believer,
I fully believe we are living in the last days. Can't wait until all is fixed.
Whatever happens in the future, no matter how bad it is, will not be like the false prophecies your religion teaches. You will die from old age (unless you're old already) without seeing:
Of course, all of the above are subject to eternal revision. You'll be waiting forever.
an easy way to stump the delusional jws at your door is come to the door with sunglasses on holding a sign with the words in the above title, and not say a word.
the reaction will be priceless.... hopefully it will wake up those that still have some use of their thinking abilities..
It'll sure stand out in their minds, especially when they grow old and start to reminisce about their wasted past.
i figured i'd shut the site down for a couple of hours to encourage everyone to do their xmas shopping.
the error message was a subtle hint, that's what "500 error" means ... go shopping.. whatever rumours you hear, it definitely wasn't that someone deployed a quick update before going on a 1.5 hour car ride to pick someone up and didn't think that the page they tested, to check it was all working after the update, happened to be cached.
no siree bob, not that, na hah.. anyway, you're welcome for the extra chance to, erm, shop..
Good, I had Christmas cards that needed mailing.
i have read over the past few years of many cases of elder harassment and unwanted visitations.
however, there is a couple of stories out there where it has been presented that eventually the apostate in question comes home one day to find that their home has been trashed or covered with graffiti, which by the words written, seems to imply that it was a jw taking "revenge" or seemingly delivering divine justice against the apostate.
most of these are stories i've read online from several years ago.. have you individually or the group ever heard or stumbled upon these cases?
StarTrekAngel and Simon, that's scary. I thought that all Witnesses were too passive to do such a thing.
has waking up ever made you physically ill?
perhaps because of the emotional strain etc..?.
if if so what were / are the symptoms?.
StarTrekAngel,
...it all looked like it was just panic attacks as he had experienced them in the past himself.
Me too and I also felt those panic attacks in my chest. I felt them when I was in field service.
if jws want to inflict shunning on members who want to remain -- knock yourselves out.
but if someone wants to leave - dont believe in an evil almighty god, bible ...or just dont agree with the rules- they should be free to leave- even after being 'disfellowshipped'.
i think it was pre 1980 that you could disassociate yourself without shunning repercussions.
The Media will treat any issue about the JWs like a tempest in a teapot.
i am agnostic.
i will count how many agnostics, atheists and christians that are reading this forum regularly.
please answer my question.
A Believer,
Jehovah witnesses are Christians in that we follow christ.
Your organization doesn't even believe that the Ransom applied to the ordinary Jehovah's Witness ("Great Crowd"). What's more they make it overt by not partaking of the emblems which is Christianity's holiest ritual based on the idea of a ransom.

You should have added in your title "Theist". There are those who believe in a god but not in the Bible.
As for me, atheist with a pantheistic leaning.
